UGG not so UGLY

I am not a particular fan of the UGG boots. I guess it has to do with not be a conformist. With so many choices in fashion footwear I wouldn't necessarily choose a style that seems to be so pervasive, especially the younger culture.

I saw these new styles so I wanted to comment that I like that UGG is branching out with new styles and variations for different occasions.

Dove researchers asked girls who has the most powerful influence on their self-esteem and ideas about beauty.The majority of girls around the world say their adult female mentors. And by female mentor, we mean mother, stepmother, grandmother, godmother, sister, aunt, teacher and friend- the person a girl looks up to and is close with. With adult female mentors being such a powerful influence and adolescence often a challenging and stressful time in a teenage girl’s life, The Dove self-esteem fund has developed “Dove The Real Beauty” workshops to bring girls ages 8-12 together with their adult female mentors to start a discussion on important topics such as beauty and body image. It is important for both to leave the workshop feeling confident that each has the tools to continue these discussions which in turn will help them successfully negotiate all types of personal and social situations and occasions. "Win a Prom Makeover" contest

Thanks for checking in on the final details of the "Win a Prom Makeover" contest. I am pleased to announce the final winner from the Lake Forest area. Anne Rowell was picked as the third and final winner of the " Win a Prom Makeover" contest. Anne was a trooper as I surprised her at the beginning of the her varsity soccer practice. Her whole team was there to cheer her on as she was told that she had been the entry picked from the Lake Forest area. I want to thank her coaches and teammates for allowing me to come at the start of practice to make my exciting announcement! Above is a picture of Anne Rowell . I was thrilled to have the chance to meet the winners in person yesterday. The weather held up and I was able to surprise the girls and capture on video their reactions when it was announced that they had won the "Win a Prom Makeover" contest in their area. The "Win a Prom Makeover" contest is in the final stages with two lucky winners picked from District 113. The entry date has been extended for the Lake Forest area. The winner from Lake Forest will be announced after noon on Monday, May 11th. I am so excited to introduce two of the winners to you all. Yesterday I had the opportunity to surprise the girls and announce to them that they were one of the lucky winners from their area.
